Red currants are brought to the boil and simmered gently.

The juice and fruit is then transferred to our fruit press where it is squeezed slowly to extract the maximum amount of juice from the fruit.

This distinctive jelly is just perfect to accompany roast lamb, and also makes a delicious addition to all gravies.

The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves there since 1885.

We grow a wide range of traditional English fruits and use them to make conserves and condiments in our nut-free factory by the farm.

Jellies differ from Tiptree Preserves in that they are prepared with the juice of cooked high quality produce such as red currants rather than with whole fruit. As with all its products Tiptree makes its jellies carefully in small batches. In addition to being delicious spreads Tiptree jellies make excellent condiments and are indispensable ingredients for certain sauces and glazes.
